Cast and crew of the play “The Long Christmas Dinner” received a Superior Rating, the best available, at the State One-Act Play Festival Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in Aberdeen.

Director Bryan Aukerman was very pleased with the outcome of the performance.

“The cast did an outstanding job in their performances,” Aukerman said. “Every single actor earned a superior award, and you can’t ask for much better than that.”

Senior Lainee Mentzer, who played the role of The Nurse in the show, was also happy about Saturday’s performance.

“I’m really proud of everyone,” Mentzer said. “It feels good that our hard work paid off and we came home with the gold.”

Cast and crew of “A Long Christmas Dinner” will present one more public show for family and friends at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 in the auditorium—free admission.
