Warrior chorus students will present a “Winter Concert” at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 in the auditorium.

Prior to the concert, chorus boosters will conduct their annual fundraising holiday bake sale. Selling will begin right after school today, and will continue until the concert.

The Freshman Choir, Warrior Chorus, Concert Choir, Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Vocal Jazz 1 and Vocal Jazz 2 will all perform.

The concert will conclude with “The Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.”

Director Jeff Spencer said the “Hallelujah Chorus” will be the highlight of the event.

“‘The Hallelujah Chorus’ will be sung by all the choirs at WHS, and it is also tradition to invite alumni of the choir to come to the stage and sing with us,” Spencer said. “Members of the WHS Orchestra program will also accompany the ‘Hallelujah Chorus.’”

Senior Madison Weber said the concert will be a fun, good one.

“We have been preparing for over a month, and we are all excited to show what we got,” Weber said. “It is always fun to sing the traditional ‘Hallelujah’ piece.”

Tonight’s concert is also being recorded by KLRN television and will be broadcast next week on the district cable channel.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and $1 for senior citizens.
